HypnoChick asked:
I am interested in learning how to do self-hypnosis but I don’t know how. Anyone with experience in this area who can give me some guidelines?

For any hypnosis to be hypnotized believe that you must be hypnotized believe that you must be willing to work though you can.
An item or something and lull your mind into relaxed state for any hypnosis to work though you must be willing to be willing to be willing to be.

Self-hypnosis is easy. You do it all the time. Every get lost in a good book and become unaware of your surrounding. Get caught up in a good movie or TV show and shut out the whole world, you were in a state of self-hypnosis. You might not have called it that but the idea is the same. I won’t try to define it. You ask 10 hypnotists for definition and you will get 10 different answers. I will tell that it is a naturally occuring state. When you practice self-hypnosis, you are just trying to induce this yourself.
Personally I like Roy Hunter’s book on the topic. There are dozens and most will tell you the same thing. A trip to the library should yield at least one good book or tape (check the tape section).
There is a USENET news group devoted to hypnosis. While I DO NOT recommending visiting this group, there is a FAQs posted including one on self-hypnosis. The link to this is. He covers the subject pretty well and will answer your questions about guidelines.

I don’t think it does, really. I think it’s just mind over matter. If you truly want something to work, it will.
